As an art school graduate I thought I had canvas stretching down to an art. After all, craftsmanship and presentation is a pretty big deal. I am horrified to realize that I think I have been stretching my canvases WRONG this whole time.
I found this awesome guide on stretching canvases so they are archival and non-sagging on the Golden Artist Colors website:
I haven't tried it out yet because I have a surplus of canvases that I stretched about a year ago. Though, I'm not very happy with their condition after they've been sitting for a while. Sagging has become a bit of a problem. I like my canvases super tight. I'm thinking about taking them apart and re-stretching them with this method. Has anyone out there given this a try? I'd love to hear about your results!
